Sri Lanka’s Play based Preschool

We were conceived with a clear objective in mind, to provide a different type of preschool education in Sri Lanka. One which no longer had boring lessons or top down teaching. That was why we are known as play based preschool in Sri Lanka that emphasised play as a learning experience.

Our lessons are spontaneous and will allow your children to express themselves, work as a team, explore topics and most importantly have fun! Your child will be well prepared for later schooling and life in the care of our dedicated, trained and professional staff.

FOUNDERS
Pratheepa Baskaralingam
Ms Pratheepa loves books, reading has been her passion. Her interest in education has given her the achievement that she has obtained in her career.

Pratheepa believes that each child is unique and special. Each child has the potential to make a meaningful contribution to this world. She is committed in bringing innovation and creativity in the early age education field as these are the foundation years which can shape a child’s personality for life. Her success mantra lies in the spirit of teamwork which can make dreams work.
Malcolm X once said “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to who prepare it today” and Pratheepa strongly believe that and want to implement this to our Sparkle Tots International Preschool.
Nithya Baskaralingam
Ms Nithya always held a special place for literature and communications in her learning. Hard Work, Grit and Commitment towards fulfilling her dreams have made her to achieve in her career.
Nithya believes that “Play is our brain’s favourite way of learning. Primary education is essential, it is where teachers can encourage and cultivate creativity in children at an early age. Considering this, Pre-Primary Education again isn’t just about teaching; it is also about training young minds towards early childhood development. An education should spur growth and unlock potential, paving the way for brighter and broader thinking, bringing every child’s best out at an early stage.”

With Sparkle Tots International Preschool, Nithya desires to ultimately achieve this and make the school stand-out as an icon in the Pre-Primary Education system. She hopes to build a community of self-taught children, who possess all qualities to grow up to be the inspiration that the world needs.
